Event Details

There is a growing empirical foundation for Short-Term Psychodynamic Psychotherapy. Developments in the evidence base demonstrate that Intensive Short-Term Dynamic Psychotherapy (ISTDP) is clinically effective and cost effective with patients experiencing even the most complex and treatment resistant difficulties. This has particular implications for practice and service delivery in the NHS, as well as in non-statutory and non-NHS settings. From within the general approach of ISTDP a specialised technique has been developed for patients with treatment resistant depression, somatisation, dissociative states, and personality disorder. This is called the ‘graded format’. Presentations will be facilitated though video recordings and discussions of clinical material. There will be opportunity for dialogue and discussion of the themes and their practical implementation.
